Pearly whites brushed, ablutions done and tummies full we all set off for the day.
The previous day I had made mental notes of all the places I had seen and wanted to visit and the first was the aquarium.
Upon arriving I was pleasantly surprised that the entrance fee was only ten dollars ( Namibian ) which at the exchange rate at the time was ten rand. The next surprise was how small and quaint ( which sounds odd ) the aquarium was.
Except for the walk through tunnel where the sharks were held and the tank where the sting rays were kept all the tanks were set in the walls and looked like portholes on a ship, different and interesting.
With my first place of interest ticked off my list I headed off to the beach for some fresh air and more photo moments.
By now Hubby had phoned to say that they were finished for the day and that they would meet me back at the chalet, by the time I got back they had had a wash and change of clothes and decided we should go for a drive.
The contrasts on this shoreline were mind boggling, as we drove the ocean was on one side and endless dunes on the other side, the roads in town were extremely wide and although tarred most of them now looked like sand roads as the beach and dune sand was always carried by the winds which could be quite ferocious.
